Who says you can't use a microwave to make a full pasta meal? I used to think that, and I was wrong. For all you college students out there with only a microwave, let me show you how to change your world.

Ingredients Meal Cost/Item Cost Grocery Store

Linguini Noodles $1.00 Meijer

Italian Meatballs $2.99 Meijer

Sliced Mushrooms $1.59 Meijer

Marinara Sauce $1.59 Meijer

Spicy Red Pepper Sauce $1.59 Aldis

Seasonings - Basil, Red Pepper Flakes, Garlic, salt & pepper

Total $8.76 or $2.92 for 3 Servings

Minimum Price at most average Restaurants: Approximately $20.00

Break linguini noodles in half and add at least half box to microwave safe bowl filled ¾ with water. Microwave for 15-20 minutes, drain in a plastic cup, put noodles in a to-go box and put in fridge to firm up.

In same bowl, add marinara sauce, red pepper sauce, seasonings, mushrooms and meatballs (however many you want.) Stir and mix well, then microwave for 7-10 minutes. Take pasta out of fridge and put a portion on a plate, add sauce and meatballs to your liking, mix together so the noodles are completely flavored with the sauce.
